A warm welcome awaits you at Kootenay Park Lodge. Escape the stresses of every day life and relax in nature's lap. The lodge's General Manager, Paul V. Holscher, his mother Francis, and their attentive staff will ensure your getaway will be one to cherish. There is no other development for miles, your only neighbors are the wild animals that make the valley their home.

Amenities on our property include a Historic Lodge which is home to our dining room, 10 cozy log cabins (most with fireplaces), a new Visitor's Center that features a full service Information Center, snack and gift shop and public laundry facilities.

Stay in one of our cozy and very comfortable cabins and get back in touch with nature. All units have bar sized refrigerators, bathrooms with showers and coffee makers. Most of the cabins are equipped with fireplaces and the queen bed units have goose down duvets. Several cabins have a Hot Plate (two burner propane stove), which can be used for cooking. Cabin #3 has a full kitchen with all the utensils supplied, utensils can be rented with a hotplate for all the other cabins.

After a day in nature, enjoy authentic home style cooking (just like mom used to make because mom does the cooking) in our historic, critically acclaimed and licensed dining room. Homemade bread and hearty soups, crisp salads, and several daily specials are served up for your pleasure.

Our onsite information centre is available for you to plan your hiking trip, buy passes, fishing licenses and back country permits, view interesting exhibits and pick up brochures on Mountain Parks and South East British Columbia. The Kootenay Lodge general store serves up fresh coffee, deli sandwiches, other snacks, souvenirs, unique gifts and clothing for your convenience.

The dining room and cabin services begin in mid May, operating through to late September, the Visitor's Center is open from mid April until Canadian Thanksgiving (mid October).

Pet Guest Fee***: $7 per cabin, per night
Cancellation Policy: Deposit of first night's charge or valid credit card number required to confirm reservation. Deposit refunded or credit card not charged if at least 72 hours cancellation notice is given. All cancellations subject to a $20 cancellation fee.
