Our distinctive Nova Scotia Bed and Breakfast Inn is located in historic Annapolis Royal minutes from one of the oldest European settlements in the New World, Port Royal. Built in 1859 as an Inn the Hillsdale House Inn has catered to many famous persons, including King George V of England. Hillsdale House has a long standing tradition of providing gracious accommodations set in idyllic surroundings.

The Hillsdale House Inn bed and breakfast allows you to reconnect with nature, discover history and experience early French Acadian culture, lulling you back to a slower, gentler time.

Our 13 guest rooms are all individually decorated with antiques and all have private ensuite baths. Relax in one of our 3 parlors, all beautifully appointed with mid Victorian period antiques. Hillsdale House Inn is a 12 acre estate with manicured lawns, stately trees and numerous fine gardens. Treat yourself in the morning to freshly ground coffee, and a full cooked breakfast, including Hillsdale's homemade bread and jams.

To ensure that your stay at the Hillsdale House Inn is enjoyable we are pleased to provide the following services to our guests:

Additional Pet Policies:	Pets are not permitted on furniture. Advance reservations are required to properly accommodate both you and your pet. We would prefer that your pet not be left unattended in your room. If you need to leave without your pet, please inform the front desk and leave a contact number where you can be reached should your pet become agitated. Should your pet have any accidents on the premises, please clean up after him or her promptly or ask for assistance to do so. Rooms in which there are unattended pets will not receive housekeeping service. Please arrange a convenient time with the front desk when you will be out of the room with your pet, so that our housekeeping team can service your room. Costs to repair any damage to the room or for extra cleaning required (i.e. dry cleaning or carpet cleaning) caused by your pet will be added to your credit card. Should your pet create a disturbance affecting the comfort of other guests, you will be expected to compensate the Inn for any loss of revenue. Pets are not permitted in the dining/breakfast room. Owners are required to "scoop" on our property grounds.
