Whistler
Whistler is located 120 kilometres (75 miles) north of
Vancouver, British Columbia via the picturesque Sea to Sky
Highway. Surrounded by the rugged backdrop of the Coast
Mountains, Whistler is an award-winning year-round
destination.
In winter, Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains offer up the
finest in skiing, boarding and an unparalleled après ski
scene. The mountains see an average of 30 feet of snow each
season and powder hounds can test their thighs’ limits on
more than 200 runs spread out over 8,100 acres of terrain.
When winter draws to a close, Whistler’s summer season heats
up with a full slate of festivals, world-class mountain
biking, breathtaking hiking and an abundance of water
activities.
Enjoy delectable dining, rejuvenating spas and exquisite
shopping, all neighbouring the charming pedestrian Village.
But best of all, Whistler is a pet-friendly resort so
there’s no reason to leave your 4-legged friends behind.
Recognizing that many visitors enjoy travelling with their
pets, a host of accommodations in Whistler happily take
pets.
Whistler’s wide-open playground and fresh air is a dog’s
shangri-la. Hiking and biking trails abound so grab the
leash and take Rover for a romp. Dog-friendly beaches are
the perfect place to cool down with your pooch on a hot
summer’s day.
